How It Works

The Jiffy Steamer X-Series works by utilizing the power of steam. Clean water is contained within a one-gallon reservoir which uses a heating element to boil the water. Hot steam is generated and transferred through the 7.5’ hose to disperse evenly from the unit’s 6” wide steamer head. This hot steam penetrates deep into fibers, killing dust mites and bed bugs.

That’s it—no chemicals, no fumes, no costly add-ons or time-consuming treatments. Bed bugs and dust mites are killed on contact.

Step 1:

Place the steam head directly on the area to treat—it will not damage the material.

Step 2:

Slowly steam along the length of the material until the entire area has been treated with steam. For dust mites, it should take 10 seconds to steam treat 1 foot; for bed bugs, it should take 30 seconds per foot to ensure adequate contact.

Step 3:

After steaming, use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dead dust mites and/or bed bugs.

Step 4:

Allow the item to air dry for 15 minutes.

Step 5:

Repeat this process weekly, monthly or quarterly as needed.
